I have been replying to quite a few letters lately and i ran out of envelopes. So I decided instead of going out and buying some, I would make much prettier ones out of my paper stash! Yay for resoursfulness! So while I was at it I took a few pictures, figured a few of you would like to know how to make your own envelopes as well!
The first step is to gather supplies, you need papre, scissors, glue, a template, and a pen. This is usually done best on a flat surface.

Now you'll want to flip over your paper to the white side and trace your template on to your paper. Cut it once its traced correctly, i usualy cut a few sheets of paper at a time in order to save a little time.
Next you'll fold up all the flaps to make the pocket part of the envelope, once they are folded, secure them in place with glue, using just a little bit of pressure to insure that it will hold in place.
Fold down the top flap and that's it! Pretty easy huh? and think of all the money you'll save! Just repeat the following steps over and over again until you've got enough envelopes, or just make one at a time. whatever you want! you could also change your envelope size by using a different template which you can find on google.
Hope you enjoyed this! comment your questions and send me pictures of your finished product!
